From January 17, 2016 till January 23, 2016 this Crazy Snow Camp took place in a wonderful winter sports resort in Switzerland. Skiing, snowboarding, crazy group games, moon shine hikes…

Simple mountain hut at the slope

Activities
We'll have a mountain hut just for our group at an altitude of 1.400m, high above the village and you can only get there by going up with the cable car and then ski or snowboard to the hut. In the daytime we will be skiing and snowboarding in this beautiful area with 'on top of the world' feeling. In the evening we will organize crazy group games, cook and eat together, we'll relax in the unique Crazy Camp Mountain Sauna etc. The Crazy Snow Camp will be an unforgettable snow adventure!
Location
Our mountain hut is at an altitude of 1400m and right at the slopes (ski-in/ski-out). The ski area is not super big and not super small. There are several ski lifts, chair lifts and cable cars. Mainly blue and red slopes but also some black and ski routes. Total vertical drop is around 1.200m (1.700m if the slope all the way to the village is open, but that's not all too often).
The hut can be reached over a black slope, a red slope and over an easy 'skiweg', and to get away from the hut you'll have to use a towbar ski lift. That makes this Crazy Snow Camp not suitable for absolute beginners.
Accommodation
The mountain hut is simple and with a very natural feel. The beds are bunk beds in group rooms. There is an open kitchen with a wood stove. There is a toilet and an improvised shower with warm water from the wood stove. Please do not expect luxury things like comfort or privacy. You will be surprised how fast you will feel at ease with everybody, in a place where you can simply be who you are, far away from your day to day environment and habits.
Bring a sleeping bag! And there will be the unique Crazy Camp Mountain Sauna – the perfect way to relax mind & muscles. No smoking in the house or in the sauna.
Snow sports
In the daytime we will be skiing or snowboarding. This can be individually but we will do some things as a group also. In previous Crazy Snow Camps it turned out that the participants enjoy shredding the slopes together, teaching each other some ski/board skills, etc.
Please keep in mind that SNOW comes from NATURE so there is no guarantee for the amount of snow that will be there and for example no guarantee that all lifts will be working. In that case, we might be doing snowshoe hikes, build a kicker near the hut, or other improvisations :-)
At the end of the day and in the evenings we will be automatically together (we're high on the slopes, there is nowhere else to go!) so we will make our own après ski. This will start with cooking, eating and cleaning together. There will be crazy group games, yoga-ish stuff and so on. And let's not forget the unique Crazy Camp Mountain Sauna!
Basically everybody is expected to participate in the group life at the end of the day and in the evening [faq].
How to get there
We will be in the east of Switzerland. Distance from Zürich airport is 120km, Basel/Mulhouse airport at 200km; Milano Bergamo airport is 280km, same for Munich airport. Can easily be reached by train.
From The Netherlands/Belgium/Luxemburg there is a ride share available, approx. EUR 85 two-way per person [faq].
Switzerland is member of the Schengen agreement. If you can travel in any other Schengen country, you can travel in Switzerland.
Participation Fee
The deal
I encourage early sign-up. You choose your participation in the cost for these 6 days and nights:
· EUR 275 if you sign up and pay the advance payment before November 1st, 2015
· EUR 295 if you sign up and pay the advance payment before December 1st, 2015
· EUR 315 if you sign up and pay the advance payment after November 30, 2015
This is per person for accommodation, food (that we will cook together) and tourist taxes. That is cheap! However, don't come if you are only interested in an affordable holiday.
Couples: in the Crazy Snow Camp you can not behave like a couple. Beds are allocated through a lottery [faq] and we're all sleeping in one big space; you participate as individuals, not as a couple.
